Abstract

The focus of the text is to indicate that Binswanger's "Heideggerian phase" incorporates elements of
Schelerian anthropology, so that the genesis of Daseinsanalysis contains central elements of Scheler's
thoughts specifically the importance of the tone of love and human transcendence. The text's
proposal is to suggest that Binswanger's "Heideggerian phase" should be understood as a
"Heideggerian-Schelerian phase," as will be explained throughout the paper. In this regard, the
present text also seeks to provide a reinterpretation of the moment of the genesis of Daseinsanalysis
and its connection to the tone of love and the eternal human transcendence. The conclusion of the
text points to the rich range of possibilities that a thematization of the tone of love opens: far from
falling into sentimental and sterile positions, the meditation on this tone is linked to the factual
urgency of the real, as well as to the place of Daseinsanalysis within it.
