This paper reflects on the interdisciplinarity of the activities developed by the Institutional Program of Scholarships for Initiation to Teaching (PIBID), of the Bachelor's Degree in Languages and Codes of Portuguese Language, of the Center of Sciences of São Bernardo, of UFMA. The objective of the article, in the format of an experience report, was to present the actions carried out in PIBID, to think and discuss the interdisciplinarity in teacher training. The methodology used in the projects was interdisciplinary, covering the areas of Portuguese Language, Literature and Visual Arts, developing the academic, artistic, cultural and social training of the undergraduate students and of the basic school. The Historical-Critical Pedagogy (PHC) was used by valuing the knowledge historically accumulated by humanity, being brought into the classroom as systematized knowledge, with the aim of forming subjects who transform the society in which they are inserted and the multicultural one to integrate different cultures and value the wealth that resides in diversity. The theoretical foundation was based on the studies of Fazenda (2015), Duarte (2008), Freire (1996), Munanga (2015), among others. As a result, we realized that the experience in PIBID qualified the teacher training of the undergraduates, from a questioning and critical perspective on interdisciplinarity. In the case of the students of the basic school, we observed that they acquired knowledge about the African influence in our state and country, developing creative and expressive skills through artistic productions, promoting the appreciation of cultural diversity and respect for African ancestry. It is concluded that the article contributes to studies on interdisciplinarity in teacher training, on the appreciation of black culture and on the reflection on the PIBID program.
