The present article approaches the subject of the human body during physical education classes. It initiates from a historical revision of the physical education, and its present situation where the school sport performance is taking over the school physical education. Marcel Mauss’ concepts enter in the discussion referring to the work form; firstly, these forms analyze the student past knowledge and later apply them by a methodology in the class based on the experiences of the subject. The search of student performance, especially in the physical education classes, is very different from what we have nowadays.
