Abstract

The present text discuss and analyses the emergency and speech about “life quality” in the nowadays society, pointing out the implicated challenges in the knowledge and intervention ambits of Physical Education. In a first moment, it investigates the historical routes of life quality notion in the occidental rationality. In a second moment, points out this theme as a debate field by its interpretation, by its sense, in Physical Education ambit. And, in a third and last moment, it tries to think in some possible intervention ways at health and life quality ambit from Scholar Physical Education. Emerges from this debate, an epistemic possibility of situating the Physical Education and to understand its function in the “consumption society”, as well as a way of leading and building a critical perspective of intervention in the Scholar Physical Education regarding to life quality theme.
