LIFE QUALITY IN ELDERLY WOMEN ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The study had the objective to analyze gauges of the life quality in the environment domination, and to associate them in the usual level of physical activity from elderly women who participate from groups of elderly company in Marechal Cândido Rondon city, Paraná. 320 women composed the sample with the same or upper age than 60 years old. The sample selection was realized between the women of the groups, that without receiving anything accepted to participate. For the information collect was used a shaped interview having 3 (three) parts: (1) social demographic aspects and social economic classification; (2) life quality gauges and (3) physical activity level. In the statistics analyses was utilized the distribution in frequency and percentages, and the association test of Qui-quadrado, considering the significance level p0,05. The results showed that 50,0% of the women were from 60 to 65 years old; 50,3% were married, 78,8% were German descendents; 79,4% had elementary school and 79,1% were from C social economic level. In the environment domination, the under domination that associated themselves with the NAF were:  the satisfaction with the access to the health programs, the opportunities to obtain information, the opportunities of leisure and satisfaction with the transport means. The results demonstrated that 76,5% of the women were active or very active and 23% were less or insufficient active. As far as the life quality evaluation so far as the health perception, were more positive in active women, showing themselves so, associated to the habitual physical activity level.
