THE TRAINING OF TEACHERS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SAO PAULO: ANALYSIS OF DISCIPLINARY TRAINING EXPERIENCES

This study intends to investigate qualitatively the impressions and interpretations of students of licentiateship in Physical Education about the required internships that they experienced during the course. By reading the reports produced in these activities, we aim to gather the contributions they have provided to these students. In this sense, we ascertain the possible contributions of internship experiences gained by the students of Licentiateship in Physical Education at USP, developed in the disciplines Teaching Methodology of Physical Education I and II of School of Education of USP. As a method of scientific research, we chose the content analysis, based on recommendations of Lankshear and Knobel (1998), applied in the reports prepared by undergraduates. The results reveal that internship, even when it does not offer an idealized learning situation to the intern, which would be equivalent to a school where everything worked with teachers that are fully committed to work Physical Education seriously, serves as an important motivator reflection and critical analysis to the future teacher.Downloads
