Abstract

The volume of waste generation construction (RCC) is inversely proportional to the use of material efficiency in construction processes. In this context, this paper presents the comparative results of the utilization percentage of the materials used in building houses, houses and buildings and its relation to the generation of waste and economic impacts in the construction activity. To this end, they were considered to study elements three types of buildings: house, townhouse and apartment building. In these situations, by specifying the raw materials, product and the use efficiency in each of the activities / stages of the construction process it has been possible to systematize the relationship between the amounts of materials used and the amounts and types of RCC generated. The results show economic losses of R $ 3,642.93 for homes (75.7% success), R $ 16,812.43 for houses (75% success) and R $ 86,853.03 for buildings (72.8% success). In this way it is intended to demonstrate the need for a better use of materials at construction sites, with skilled labor to minimize the generation of RCC as well as the need to implement selective collection programs at the construction site.
