Abstract

The article discusses the relational identities and alterities of Portuguese and Spanish in the luso-spanish borderland, based on the empirical investigations of researchers from both countries carried out in border cities. This work aims to systematize the notions of identity related to the contrast between iberianism and nationalism and the national and local identifications in specific places of the luso-spanish borderland, as well as to problematize the own national situation of the researchers in the context of accomplishment of its field
