Abstract

The Priest Antonio Ripari was an Italian Jesuit who had been in a
county of Jesuits in Paraguay for only three years. His short stay was due to the reach of his martyr in 1639, with P.Osorio and the student Alarcón, provoked by the Indians Chiriguanos. It’s known of his own writing the long and unpublished texts in which one of them tell us about his trip from Génova to São Paulo, although his final destiny was Buenos Aires. This trip took almost
two years, time in which the departures were delayed because of the shortage of ships. Everywhere was full of pirates and because of the storms the stay took longer, stuck for months in the cities in the route to the destiny.
