Abstract

Machiavelli has the pretension of being radically new. Because he
was made a new prince in a State, he has the mission of subverting the whole instituted order. To preserve his safety, he assumes an obligation to communicate his thought using of artifices that put him to the shelter of the repression of the established authorities. This way, the obscurity sometimes present in his work is premeditated and it is to the service of a strategy. The reading hypothesis that I examined is that the structure of his speech holds two fundamental registers: the dissimulation and the persuasion. Both are to the service of the same teaching strategy: to show in what ways the political action can establish the new foundations of the politics capable to subvert the awkward forms of organization of power.
