Abstract

This paper aims to present a Deleuzian interpretation of Being in Duns Scott.
Dr. subtle is the first representative, according to Deleuze, the three moments of being
unambiguous, since his work does not attach to an instance of itself as being divine, but
neutral. Being neutral Scott has two distinctions: the formal distinction, as regards the formal
attributes of Being, which is fine for the doctor, a real distinction and not a numeric, and the
modal distinction, which refers to the ways of being and intensive which is considered a
numerical distinction. Being thus it is said only of neutrality and it is this neutrality that is
presented by Deleuze as the purest expression of univocal Being.
