Abstract

This article attempts to analyse political, economic and social events that occurredbetween the late XX century and end XXI century, having as support the transformationundergone by the Social Contract and the relationship between state/civil society. Understoodas this period of historical crisis, the ideas is to look at the consequences of capitalistextraordinary progress, particularly after the fall of Berlin Wall. The word sees itself ravagedby wars, hunger, unemployment, population displacement violence just as globalizationbecomes a phenomenon of no return. A representative democracy can no longer respond tothe tasks delegate of great capital to get State hostage to private groups. Recover Utopia,make the State a new social movement and exercise redistributive democracy may be a wayforward.
