Abstract

This article presents a reflection about ideology manifestations in Nova magazine. Adopting Discourse Analysis as theoretical basis, the work investigates in which way ideology appears in the magazine, building an image of being a woman. Research is guided by Pêcheux (2009), Bakhtin (2002) and Eagleton (1997). The analysis shows that although the magazine look like a "counselor" of modern and independent woman, yet old charges can be perceived: there is a major concern with satisfaction of man and the beauty.
