Abstract

The purpose of this work is to identify how the toponyms are presented in the Geographyand History textbooks, and then discuss pedagogical proposals, even if preliminarily with the intention of studying the human accidents through the toponymy from an interdisciplinary perspective focused the disciplines of Geography and History. The support theoretical and methodological to this discussion are Dick (2006, 2004, 1999, 1992, 1990) and Andrade (2012, 2011,2010) in the field of toponymy and also studies of Fazenda (2009, 2008, 2001) and Morin (1990) in the field of interdisciplinarity.
