Abstract

The aim of this text is to reveal some approximations between Compared Literature and Cultural Studies. Their fruitful interrelation constitutes a good methodological and theoretical support to research in the field of the relations between Arts and Society. Their common offer the opportunity to expose the meanders of power exercising in a defined society by examining a certain corpus of the cultural production of this society and also by verifying the conditions in which it was produced. In this way we discuss about some of the approximations we can see in both areas to show the convenient union of them concerning the intention to reveal the meanders of power to make citizens aware of their function as historical agents.
