Abstract

This paper analysis, according to the French Semiotics theoretical-methodological reference, the short story “Conto (Não conto)”,from Sérgio Sant’Anna, which is party of the collection “Os cem melhores contos brasileiros do século” organized by Italo Moriconi (2001). The short story has a metadiscursive character because, parallel to the construction of the story, the enunciator makes considerations about the process of construction of the narrative. The aim is investigate the strategies used by the enunciator to achieve the adhesion of the enunciatee-reader to the text, focusing the contract ways of the figurative signification to the reading of literary text, according to Denis Bertrand in his work “Caminhos da Semiótica Literária” (2003).
