DEFINITORY CONTEXT IN SPECIALIZED DICTIONARY: Madeira Dictionary Experiences

Abstract

The importance of context in terminology repertoires consists, among others reasons, in fact of that element to permit the demonstration of term in your real use. In this paper, it aims to present how was the insertion process of defining contexts in the tries of Socioterminological dictionary of Wood Industry (SIM). To do the compilation, the extraction and of insertion of contexts, were used the software WordSmith Tools 4.0 (SCOTT, 2004) and  Lexique-pro. Such programs permitted, respectively, on the one hand, to do the search in database of projetc and identify the contexts and, on the other hand, to insert those informations in the electronic platform of dictionary. The contexts were extracted of database, what is constituted of printed texts and digital texts. As results, were collected approximately 150 contexts and they were inserted in the Dictionary SIM.
