DILMA ROUSSEFF’S REMOVAL BY SENATE: DIFFERENT PERPECTIVES REAVELED BY THE MEDIA THROUGH REFERENCIATION

Abstract

On the area of Textual Linguistics of socio-cognitive-interactionist base line, it is practically obvious that there is no neutral discourse, because, producing a text, the speaker operates with the linguistic material to the elaboration of the discourse, basing on his communicative purposes. Therefore, the media, divulging information, although it is been said impartial, is always tendentious. This work aims to demonstrate how a same event can be divulged through different points of view. To this, it will use the theory of Referenciation, according to, the process of referential construction occurs collaborative and discursively between partners of the interaction. Emphasizing the process of referential construction, this work intends to compare the divulgation of the process of impeachment and the referential construction of Dilma realized from different perspectives, evidencing the process of (re)categorization of the referents as resource of argumentation in the journalistic text.
