Abstract

n this article, we analyze the review genre in teaching-learning context. We left a corpus of 46 reviews of books, collected in a discipline of reading and production of academic texts, from the course of Letters of a Brazilian Federal University. With the support of authors, like Dell'Isola (2007), Marcuschi ([2001] 2010) and Matencio (2002; 2003; 2004), and others that are based on Applied Linguistics, undertake a methodology that triangulates the reviews produced, the production context and guidance teachers, this product can be defined as a genre retextualizaded, produced from the understanding, exhibition and appreciation of the source text. Our conclusion signals the need for reflections on the compositional aspects and sociodiscursive of the Constitution of the genre in a production located, seized from pedagogical actions and usual written and rewritten.
