Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the poem “And Death Shall Have no Dominion”, by Dylan Thomas, a 20th century English poet, trying to see in which measure the author’s attitude towards death, having as backdrop the Christian tradition. The article shows that, in spite of his points of connection with the Christian tradition, Dylan Thomas’ perspective moves away from the orthodox Christian theology while suggesting the integration of the individual into the elements and forces of nature.
