Abstract

This study was conducted in a greenhouse, on the premises of the State University of Goiás - UEG, Campus of Santa Helena de Goiás – GO, located a 17 ° latitude 48 '49' 'S; and longitude 50 ° 35 '49' 'W, it was to evaluate the vegetative development of corn and soybean plants in association with nitrogen fixing bacteria and nitrogen fertilization. For each culture was conducted an experiment in which the experimental design was a randomized block consisting of 5 treatments and 6 blocks, which were composed of vessels with a capacity of 5 kg of soil. Treatments match: T1- seed inoculation with bacteria,T2- absence of inoculation and application / fertilization with mineral nitrogen (N-mineral) at sowing and coverage,T3- seed inoculation with bacteria + application / fertilization with mineral nitrogen (N-mineral) at sowing,T4- seed inoculation with bacteria + application / fertilization with mineral nitrogen (N-mineral) coverage,T5- seed inoculation with bacteria + application / fertilization with mineral nitrogen (N-mineral) at sowing and coverage. Inoculation of maize seeds in isolation, was not effective as the nitrogen supply to the development of corn plants. For the soybean crop all the other parameters showed no significant change.
