Abstract

This text presents a line of works dealing, since 2002, with cooperative games in physical education classes. The text also describes theoretico-methodological aspects of a research with the intention of Continued Education (action research) that will be developed in the Physical Education classes in the elementary school system in the city of Marechal Candido Rondon (PR), starting in 2010. The purpose is to observe whether the activities are carried out in a competitive, cooperative or semi-cooperative manner and engage verbally, when necessary, in favor of fun and games that have the idea of cooperation and inclusion. In its first years, the project intends to follow the first grades/year groups. Each teacher will have three of their classes observed and analyzed and will then be interviewed about the verbal interventions in their different forms (mediation/orientation/discussion/debates). Then, two or three more classes will be watched to observe the results of the verbal interventions and to discuss the situations still pending in relation to the subject being studied. It is hoped that the teacher will be supplied with the fundamentals necessary for a praxis that can create a social transformation orientated towards behaviors and values based on cooperation and inclusion (for all).
