Abstract

Starting from the preliminary analysis of the data collected between the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 for the composition of my doctoral dissertation entitled "Religion against " drugs ": studies of case in two religious therapeutic communities for drug addicted in Rio de Janeiro", this article aims to observe certain specific factors related to the realization of ethnographic field work in a therapeutic communities that serve as a locus for research. In this way, this article will observe specific conditions of my ethnographic research revealed that other levels of information and meanings far beyond those that could be considered obvious or obvious. The data analyzed here were collected through field research by observation and interviews with the inmates and also with the technical team members of the studied institution.
