Abstract

Abstract:This article aims to confirm the contributions of the educator Teixeira for the formation of pedagogical thought of the Brazilian Education , signaling their thinking in relation to the country's education concepts such as education as a right, not a privilege education , basic education should be general and humanistic , public school is the machine that prepares democracy and the teacher must be able democratically . The dynamics and the intertwining of ideas and principles in different spaces and times contributed to the formation of the Brazilian pedagogical thinking . This happened to Teixeira that bothered with gentrification of Brazilian school, who used retrograde and disjointed methods of life , goes in search of new educational horizons . The contributions of this educator for the formation of the Brazilian pedagogical thinking stand out for the clarity with which he was able to rework philosophical assumptions and pedagogical principles , making them consistent with the emergency issues of the country , which , to be minimized , demanded the expansion Brazilian public school.
