SABER LOCAL E AS CONEXÕES PARA A EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL

Para se manter a riqueza da diversidade biológica e cultural de uma comunidade se faz necessário o registro da história e dos costumes de forma que seja reforçada a sua importância na construção de mecanismos que garantam a conservação e a manutenção dos saberes locais e tradicionais. O objetivo do trabalho foi o desenvolvimento de uma pesquisa que revelasse o conhecimento sobre o saber local da comunidade ribeirinha de Pai André, no município de Várzea Grande, Mato Grosso, para evidenciar as conexões com a Educação Ambiental em comunidades ribeirinhas. Foram entrevistados 22 moradores categorizados e o método utilizado na pesquisa foi o qualitativo, com a aplicação de entrevistas semiestruturadas por intermédio de formulário contendo perguntas abertas e fechadas. O estudo apontou que a manutenção do saber local e percepção ambiental da comunidade de Pai André acerca dos aspectos culturais, fauna, flora e ambientes de vivência, como o rio Cuiabá, a mata ciliar, os quintais e as demais áreas terrestres podem ser utilizados como subsídios para as práticas de Educação Ambiental visando a preservação da história da Comunidade bem como evitar impactos ambientais negativos ao meio ambiente.
