Keywords:

This work is a report of experience of a training course in English in The United States of America. The related course occurred in the Saint John’s University in the New York City. We learned about American culture and history, as well as pratices and methods in English for speakers of others languages. Besides, we improved the linguistic abilities of oral comprehension, speaking, reading comprehension and writting production. We used as theoretical foundation the studies by Brown (2007), Harmer (2012), Richard-Amato (2010), Almeida Filho (2008), PCN (1998; 1999) among others. The training abroad was helpful because provided contributions to our pedagogical practice, reflecting in more dynamics and motivating classes for our students.Downloads
