Keywords:
Sexo. Gênero. Sociedade.Abstract
The concepts of sex and gender are generally regarded as synonyms, causing the inappropriate use of terms. Given this assumption, there has as objective of this study reflect on the differences between sex and gender concepts and to identify what are the gender roles in society today. This is a literature survey conducted by theoretical studies based on authors such as Scott (1998), Grossi (2013), Saffioti (1998) among others, on the theme. One can see through this study that sex can understand the existing biological difference between men and women, while gender is a social and historical construction that underlies the distinction and the relationship between the feminine and the masculine.
