Abstract

The use of English has been increasingly growing all around the world. Thereby, new theoretical perspectives about the use and teaching English appear all the time, and English as an International Language (EIL) has become one of the main perspectives currently studied. This article shows a theoretical and bibliographic research about EIL and it’s features and it seeks to explain the EIL theory, it’s divisions and it’s pedagogy.
