O CONCEITO DE MÍMESIS SEGUNDO PLATÃO E ARISTÓTELES: BREVE CONSIDERAÇÕES

Partindo das análises do livro X da obra A República, de Platão, e da Poética, de Aristóteles, investigaremos a concepção de ambos os filósofos sobre a poesia épica, com o intuito de demarcar um ponto capital que separa as duas perspectivas: o conceito de mímesis. Para Platão, a poesia épica é vista negativamente por se encontrar a três graus de distância do verdadeiro, se caracterizando enquanto mímesis dos fenômenos sensíveis, ao passo que os fenômenos já são considerados mímesis das ideias eternas. Aristóteles também define a poesia épica como mímesis, mas em um sentido positivo, pois ela tem o poder de enriquecer os fenômenos sensíveis. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é investigar o papel da poesia épica em ambos os filósofos, compreendendo e estabelecendo as suas divergências.Downloads
