CRITICAL THEORY : A REFERENCE TO THE TRAINING OF TEACHERS IN SERVICE IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

Starting from the idea that education is "a phenomenon of human beings" (Saviani, 2012, p.11) and understanding that man, as Saviani and Duarte (2010, p.422) is one to be able to intervene individually in different situations, it is possible that the accepted, reject or turn. This "free human being" proven capable of "choose and make decisions." Thus, we base this search in a perspective of humanistic education and critical, since we base on the concept of emancipation understood here as the increased level of awareness and rationality. "This needs to be entered in thought and also in educational practice." (Adorno, 2003, p.143).
