Abstract

This text propose an analysis about a polemic question: would have Islam known a rationalization process? For this, it immerses in questions inherent to the religion, like the sufism and the useful relation with the eroticism. Utilizing, mainly, Weber’s texts, we intend to comprehend the reasons about the distance between Islan and “modernity”.
