ARTS IN PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION: A SENSITIVE EXPERIENCE AT THE INDUSTRIAL TECHNICIAN SCHOOL

This work developed in the field of Arts and Education constitutes a qualitative research which has as objective to promote through the mechanical technician knowledge of industrial production, artistic actions which encourage new ways to the construction of the critical and creative cognitive process of the students of the Colégio Técnico Industrial de Santa Maria (CTISM). The study pointed to the conclusion that Arts and the teaching of it can contribute in all areas of knowledge, including the technological ones. The students over explored the elements available in the CTISM, reaching the relation and decontextualization of these materials for the artistic construction, developing a sensitive and aesthetic look, perception and creativity, which allowed them to reflect on their own identity, values, knowledge built during the Technological Education and High School.
