THE MEDIA LITERACY AND SCHOOL LITERACY: A POSSIBLE DIALOGUE

Abstract

Following a socioconstrucionist perspective of language and social identities and the theoretical principles of critical and multimodal discourse analysis of the media, my aim in this article is to analyse a TV program and propose that this kind of text should be read and discussed in class. I propose a dialog between media literacy and school literacy bearing in mind the importance of the media literacy nowadays.
