This study was aimed at the analysis of youth form public schools violence at school from the study of meanings of violence in the school and social context as well as the verifying of actors, forms and more frequent of violence situation and the identification works developed by schools to fight against the violence. We have realized bibliographic field researches. This later was performed in 4 (four) schools, among them 02 at central region and other two at city periphery. Data collection was based on a questionnaire made of close and open questions. It was adopted as categories of pre- elaboration: characterization of subject; violence in general; violence at school; meanings of violence for the pupils. The total number of student of both genders that answered to the questionnaire was 649 distributes among the three class shifts. Results show that the meaning of violence at school for these young live in: physical aggression; hard words; humiliation; by the belief that the violence is a common phenomenon among them, inherent to the society and in state of increasing in institution like schools; by appointing room activities and police monitoring as main actions. We conclude that violence at school may be thought starting from the context it is produced as well as the conditions these subjects constitute themselves besides the cultural aspects that surround them. There is the need for planning and developing educational programs that act against the scholar violence since its prevention till the youth formation.
