Pragmatics studies the uses of language in various communicative contexts and, through one of its subfields, the theory of speech acts, analyzes the intentionality existing in a given communicative situation. Thus, the main objective of this research is to analyze the compromising speech acts in utterances from the series La casa de las flores. For our investigation of Pragmatics and speech acts, we draw on authors such as Lopes (2018), Levinson (2007), Escandell Vidal (1996), and Searle (1994). As methodology, we adopted a qualitative approach, with descriptive and explanatory purposes. As a result of the analysis, we verified the intentionalities present in the statements, however, to identify them, it is necessary to have data about the history of the series, the individual aspects of the characters and the mode of interaction between them, the non-linear narrative, etc. Finally, we ascertained that the sender anchors his argumentative purposes in the realization of three types of desires: individual, third-party, or both, depending on the argumentative factors used to achieve these goals.
