Abstract

 

 

This article presents the reflection about research and extension activities from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, incluing a public school from Rede Municipal de Ensino de Santa Maria/ RS. This research aims to know and reflect about the play activities contributions in pedagogical practice in classroom, giving experiences of the activities. Then, it is done a restoration of play in different situations, perceiving the cultural and historical influences of play activities, toys for children. The research is based in authors as Áries (1986), Priore (1995), Santos (2000), Brougère (2001), Fortuna (2002) e Freitas (2006), aiming a better understanding of play act evolution and its contribution to children development in school.
