THE RESEARCH GROUPS CONSTITUTION AND THE FEMININE FIGURE: THE WAY OF GRUPO DE ESTUDOS E PESQUISA SOBRE FORMAÇÃO INICIAL, CONTINUADA E ALFABETIZAÇÃO (GEPFICA) IN THE SOCIAL SCENE

This article aims to study the constitution of research groups in institutions ofhigher education, highlighting, in special, the way of constitution and consolidation of grupo de
estudo e pesquisa sobre formação inicial, continuada e alfabetização (gepfica/cnpq/ufsm) and the feminine
figure mostly in the leadership of the groups. The methodology applied in the theoretical and
descriptive study is qualitativeand the references are based in researchs developed by almeida (1998), antunes (2001; 2005), candau (2002), fontana (2000), louro (2007), melo (2007), and
others. Then, by the feminine leadership, gepfica traces a profile, signaling spaces and being
recognized along of time. So, through researches of cnpq it was possible to know information
about research groups southern region in brazil and to establish a parallel among what is use to
do in institutional, regional, and national level and what kind of people the group uses to attend.
