This text intends to divulge a research held in the west of Paraná, which the mainpurpose was to point out a singular trajectory of a successful teacher her training was learned
along more than four decades working with education, 1960 - 2006. This literacy trainer starts her
trajectory as a lay teacher, in homeschools, and then, in isolated and community schools, teaching
different grade levels in the same class in the rural area of west paraná, and lastly in school
groups. Reporting the history of a teacher professional development helps us to understand the
singularity of this training and brings relevant elements for better understanding the teacher
training system. The singularity and peculiarities of a professional development process of
becoming a competent teacher, who serves the working-class, helps us to understand the totality.
It is necessary to understand these processes, even if they are small, daily and silent, in order to
identify creative or resistant practices, and it is also necessary to understand how these practices
reinterpret and reconduct the dynamics of transformation
