THE BODY AND CLOTHING ON INTERSECTIONS BETWEEN FASHION AND ART

Placing fashion in the center of discussions on art and culture, this article initiates a reflection about the body and the clothing as forms of artistic expression, in order to propose questions about the convergence between art and fashion. Under the focus of Sociology of Art, we ask here: can fashion be considered an artistic phenomenon? Is the fashion designer an artist? Or is the true artist that one who wears clothes?
