Abstract

 This article aims to discuss how the mythic discourse appears in the book A casa da cabeça de Cavalo of Teolinda Gersão. This narrative shows historical references that are presented as instruments of unrest of conscience that, in turn, insist on building myths that pervade the history of Portugal. Thus, among other works no less important novelist, we will analize the work that the presence os the mythical element responsible for the perpetuation of the simulation of the Portuguese female figure, and that the woman who suffers wrapped the black wainting for someone who doesn’t return.
