From the moment that slavery has finished and the Republic has begun, at the end of 19th century, many intelectuals, as Amadeu Amaral and Sampaio Dória, started to discuss which cultural, political and economical identities our people and government would accept. The purpose of this paper is try to comprehend how education and scouting have helped to send this giant nation, called Brazil, to de way of progress.Downloads
