The work Galileia, by Ronaldo Correia de Brito, tells the story of three cousins, Adonias, Davi and Ismael, who travel to the interior of Ceará in order to visit his grandfather, Raimundo Caetano, patriarch of a large family and decadent, which is very ill and lives in what's left of the farm Galiléia. They did their best to cut their relashionship with the region, living in different places in Brazil and abroad, with the idea of never to return. However, they must be reunited with the family and its ghosts and reliving stories of adultery, revenge and death, fears and traumas. At the end of the journey, the characters will discover secrets and betrayals in a farm that was once prosperous. Even though the cousins have tried to forget the children and move away from the problems that affected the family, back to feel it closely and will realize that this return was part of their destiny. Their memories will be forever present in their memories and hearts. Ronaldo Correia de Brito is a contemporary author and one of the most original authors in Brazilian literature. He was born in Saboeiro, the backwoods of Inhamuns, in Ceará, on 1st October, 1950. He lives in Recife since 17 years. He is a doctor at the Federal University of Pernambuco. He developed researches and wrote several texts on literature and oral tradition of popular toys, besides he has been resident writer and visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2007. He wrote books like: The nights and days (1997) and Knif (2003).Downloads
