Abstract

This article brings a study of comparative literature between the languages of narrative and painting through the analysis of the tale “The Oval Portrait”, by the american writer Edgar Allan Poe, basing on the theories of the art critic Heinrich Wölfflin and on theories about the narrator and about the ambientation in literature.
