FILOSOFIA NA ESCOLA- A BASE DE UMA EDUCAÇÃO HUMANIZADORA
Abstract
O presente texto problematiza em linhas gerais o discurso legitimador para constituir a filosofia como disciplina curricular na escola. Busca refletir sobre a contribuição da filosofia no processo de humanização. Aborda ainda, o porquê da filosofia na escola e qual deveria ser o seu papel na instituição, tendo como uma das principais referências o pensamento do filósofo espanhol Fernando Savater. O texto apresenta críticas à visão salvacionista da filosofia na escola e ao ensino tradicional de filosofia. Para além da crítica, aponta alguns caminhos que podem ser seguidos. Reflete filosoficamente sobre as possíveis contribuições que a filosofia poderá trazer ao jovem estudante e a própria escola. Mostra que o ensino de filosofia quando baseado na história da filosofia, na memorização de conceitos e na repetição de ideias, faz do processo educativo uma grande verborréia. Deixa claro que a filosofia é o exercício da pergunta e a reflexão sobre a dúvida; é o exercício da problematização do mundo e da própria existência; é o exercício do questionamento pela origem das coisas, é o diálogo entre iguais. De modo geral, o texto visa analisar o discurso legitimador referente à possibilidade de os jovens estudantes do ensino médio iniciar-se no estudo da filosofia, de forma que, eles percebam que a filosofia é um modo de reflexão ainda vigente, que lhes pode ser útil em suas perplexidades cotidianas.
