Abstract

Result of a constant search for new ways to obtain renewal of brazilian literature, Amar, verbo intransitivo represents a break with the prevailing literary practice. Full of innovations in order to better express the brazilian reality, the novel has characteristics that allow us to classify it as experimental and modernist. This article intends to make a brief analysis of these innovations proposed by Mário de Andrade in his attempt to build the modern brazilian novel
