The advance of technology requires the school questions about methods and tools in the process of learning, so that you can no longer ignore this reality. In this context, the question is, directed to: a software mathematical content can maximize learning and motivate students to learn? To seek answers this study aimed to evaluate the influence that a software has on the learning of mathematics in students of 4th year of elementary school. The methodology was as a technique for systematic observation and a structured observation form that was used during the application of the exercises. The study consisted of application of mathematical activities in a conventional way first and then through the computer application. The results showed that the computer application have an influence on student motivation and interest in participating, but also that the difficulties presented in the two stages were related to problem solving, such as calculation, reasoning, logic and interpretation of the utterance. After comparing the application of two steps, it was concluded that the application for student performance was higher.Downloads
