: The focus of this study is the representation of childhood memories in Sôbolos Rios Que Vão (ANTUNES, 2010). This paper analyzes the following: 1) The indissociable relation between the past and the present; 2) How the author dilutes all of the barriers (past/present, real/imaginary, romance / diary / autobiographical); 3) A fragmented memory and the role of repetition; 4) The importance of small objects which are cited throughout the narrative; 5) The association between death writing.
