ABSTRACT: Having the objective of increasing the discussions on sistematic teaching-learning of oral genres and oral aspects and being based on concrete data gathered from a paper on this topic, this article aims to present an efective work developed on a 5th grade of a public elementary school in Cascavel/PR with the oral genre of television news. This study was stated on the theoretical-methodological procedure called didactic sequence. The efective work was theorically based on the studies of Bakhtin Circle, Socio-discursive Interaction and Conservation Analysis and it was idealized on the Continuing Studies course, coordenated by the PhDs Terezinha da Conceição Costa-Hübes and Carmen Teresinha Baumgärtner, named study group of Portuguese and Didactic Material Production (GELP).The teaching project lasted 52 teaching hours, organized sequencially in: presentation of a comunication situation and selection of a genre, recognition of selective genre characteristics through an activity, written text production and sharing of students’ results. This moment we focus on the genre recognition activity, trying to go over the possible ways to talk about the characteristics of this oral genre and its oral aspects, from the research, reading and linguistic analysis practice.
