SOCIAL REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE WOMAN WITH CHILDREN IN SCHOOL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

An exploratory study of qualitative approach developed in order to understand the social representations that a group of 50 children from nine years old, student of 4rd Year A and B of the Municipal School of Basic Education (EMEF) "Feu Rosa," the city of Serra / ES have on women. To this end we appropriate the song "Maria, Maria", written by Milton Nascimento and Fernando Brant (1978), as a starting point of our intervention, because we understand that this letter is a hymn of love to women (in) common in Brazil. Based on the understanding that the questions related to gender relations - this included the woman and her relationship with family, work and religion - means an urgent social issue, this study was established as the starting point for an intervention interdisciplinary teaching and learning.
