EDUCATING INFANCY? THE "KINDERGARTEN" IN RURAL OF NOVO HAMBURGO/RS - 1942

Objective is to reconstruct the process of institutionalization of the first Kindergarten Lomba Grande, rural neighborhood in the city of Novo Hamburgo/RS, deploying in 1942, as an attachment to the School. The research was qualitative, using document (oral and written) in the theoretical framework of Cultural History. The analysis emphasizes the dimension of memories about the practices developed by his first teacher, as well as on the early days of the primary school. Stands out in the whole analysis the presence of a kindergarten in a rural context, the teacher whose practices did not differ much from the usual methodologies and signaled this period by the influence of the current teaching of the season steeped in nationalism and sense of vocation.
